Black Swordtail
Swordtails are a popular freshwater fish species that belong to the Poeciliidae family. These fish are native to Central America, specifically Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Swordtails are known for their striking appearance, with the males having a long, sword-like extension at the bottom of their tail fin. The females, on the other hand, have a more rounded tail fin. Swordtails are peaceful and easy to care for, making them a popular choice for beginner fish keepers. They are also highly adaptable and can live in a variety of freshwater environments, including streams, ponds, and rivers. They can also be kept with other peaceful fish species, but it's important to ensure that their tankmates are not too small or too aggressive.
