Hifin Banded Loach
The Hifin Banded Loach, also known as the Reticulated Loach or Sewellia lineolata, is a small freshwater fish that belongs to the family Botiidae and is native to Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. This unique and peaceful fish has a distinctive pattern of black and white stripes on its body, as well as a prominent dorsal fin that extends up and forms a triangular shape. It can grow up to 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) in length and prefers a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places and a sand or fine gravel substrate. It is an active and social fish that should be kept in groups of at least six individuals. Overall, the Hifin Banded Loach is an interesting and entertaining addition to a community aquarium.
