Auratus Cichlids, also known as Malawi Cichlids, are a species of freshwater fish native to Lake Malawi in Africa. They are popular among aquarium enthusiasts due to their striking coloration and aggressive behavior. The males have a black body with yellow or white stripes, while the females have a brown or gold body with black stripes. They are known to be territorial and may exhibit aggressive behavior towards other fish, so it is important to keep them with compatible species in a properly-sized aquarium with plenty of hiding places.
