Ghost Shrimp
Ghost shrimp, also known as glass shrimp or Palaemonetes paludosus, are a popular and hardy freshwater shrimp species in the aquarium hobby. They are highly valued for their ability to clean up uneaten food and debris, making them a natural and effective way to maintain a clean and healthy aquarium ecosystem. Ghost shrimp are relatively small, and are generally kept in groups of 5 or more in a planted or non-planted aquarium. They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae, biofilm, and commercial shrimp pellets or flakes.
