Orange Shrimp
Orange shrimp, also known as Orange Sakura shrimp, are a popular freshwater shrimp species in the aquarium hobby. They are highly valued for their vibrant orange coloration and peaceful nature. Like cherry shrimp, they are native to Taiwan and have become widely available in the hobby due to their ease of breeding and adaptability to a wide range of water conditions. Orange shrimp are relatively small, typically growing to around 1-1.5 inches (2.5-3.8 cm) in length, and are generally kept in groups of 5 or more in a planted aquarium. They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae, biofilm, and commercial shrimp pellets or flakes. Orange shrimp are also known for their ability to clean up uneaten food and algae, making them a great addition to any aquarium ecosystem. They are easy to care for and require minimal maintenance, making them a great option for beginner and experienced aquarists alike.
