Silvertip Tetra

The Silvertip tetra, also known as the Hasemania nana, is a beautiful and peaceful freshwater fish that is highly sought after by aquarists. Native to South America, this tetra features a silver body with black markings on its dorsal fin, tail fin, and anal fin, giving it a unique and attractive appearance. Silvertip tetras are schooling fish that should be kept in groups of at least six individuals in a well-planted aquarium with plenty of swimming space. They are peaceful and can be kept with other peaceful fish, making them an excellent addition to a community aquarium. Silvertip tetras are omnivores and will accept a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms. Regular water changes are essential to maintain good water quality and avoid sudden changes in water parameters.
